Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is going to be seen in AR Murugadoss' 'Sikandar', which is slated to release on Eid 2025.

The latest reports suggest that veteran actor Sathyaraj, who is still remembered by fans as Kattappa from 'Baahubali', is going to be seen playing the antagonist's role in 'Sikandar.'

Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, opposite Salman Khan.

According to a recent report by producer Chithra Laksmanan, Sathyaraj is likely to play a villain in 'Sikandar'.

In an interview with ETimes, director AR Murugadoss described Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' as an action film packed with a powerful social message.

Murugadoss also said that the film will have a pan-India appeal and that the that the audience will get to see a new side of their favourite actor, Salman Khan. According to reports, Murugadoss wants to shoot the action sequence with Salman soon, and the actor plans to shoot his own fight sequences.

Murugadoss also said that he had discussed this movie's idea with Salman Khan almost five years ago, but it got postponed.

Sikandar is going to be shot in Portugal and other European countries, as well as several locations in India.

The movie will have an approximate budget of Rs 400 crore and is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Reports are that Salman Khan will begin shooting for the movie on June 20.

Talking about Sathyaraj, he was loved by all after his role in the hit franchise 'Baahubali.'

Besides Salman and Rashmika, the movie will also star Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles. The film will release on Eid 2025. Salman Khan had made this announcement of Eid 2024.
