Salman Khan to likely begin shooting for 'Sikandar' in May with director AR Murugadoss: Reports

Salman Khan is set to start filming for his new movie 'Sikandar' in May, under the direction of AR Murugadoss. This project marks the first time Salman will work with Murugadoss, known for directing the hit film 'Ghajini.' 'Sikandar' is anticipated to be an action-packed movie, scheduled to release around Eid in 2025.

Recent reports, including one from MidDay, highlight that while Salman is gearing up for 'Sikandar,' Murugadoss is currently busy directing another action film, temporarily titled 'SK23' featuring actor Sivakarthikeyan. This movie is expected to continue shooting until June 2024.

A source revealed plans regarding the filming schedule: “Murugadoss aims to complete most of 'SK23' before starting 'Sikandar'. He plans to begin 'Sikandar' in May, pause to finish up 'SK23' in June, and then fully dedicate his efforts to Salman's film from July onwards."

Salman Khan recently took to Instagram to announce the title of the film and share its poster. His post read: "This Eid watch ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan’, and next Eid come meet 'Sikandar'. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!"

'Sikandar' also marks another collaboration between Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
