Marvel finally revealed the entire cast of Avengers: Doomsday, and it marks the return of many actors who have already been part of the franchise.

The actors' names were revealed during Marvel Studios' livestream event, which went on for five and a half hours.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man return to Avengers: The Doomsday, according to Variety.

And Robert Downey Jr., whose character Iron Man had died, will return as the villain Doctor Doom. And no doubt that his fans will miss him 3000 times.

The biggest surprise of all from the live stream announcement was the return of 'X-Men' stars, who will be a part of 'Avengers: Doomsday.'

The mutant cast will include Patrick Stewart, whose character Professor Charles Xavier was killed off in both 'Logan' and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.' But he will now return, it seems.

Then Ian McKellen, who was last seen as Magneto in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler from 'X2,' James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum, who was seen as Gambit in 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' and Rebecca Romijn, who started the shape-shifting role of Mystique before Jennifer Lawrence took it over in the 'X-Men' prequels, are all making a return.

The new entrants to Marvel were also introduced to the 'Avengers' ensemble. Tenoch Huerta Mejía, who portrayed the underwater antagonist Namor in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Lewis Pullman as the enigmatic Bob, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing from this summer's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps."

The Avengers team reunited after a gap of 6 years. It was then they had defeated Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the 2019 film 'Endgame.' That was the film that bid adieu to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.

And post-2019, the MCU has introduced new characters such as Liu’s Shang-Chi, Wright’s Black Panther, and the Eternals.

But fans of the MCU and Robert Downey Jr. were pleasantly surprised when, in July of last year, the actor revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that he would now rejoin the Avengers film as the villainous Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. 'New mask, same task,' he had told the crowd.

Marvel is releasing 'Thunderbolts' on May 2 and 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' on July 25. 'Avengers: Doomsday' hits theaters on May 1, 2026.
