Kingdom Worldwide Box Office Collection: Vijay Deverakonda's action thriller opens in US theatres with over $650,000 (Rs 5.42 Cr) gross

Kingdom is now running in the theatres

Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kingdom has officially hit the US theatres on July 30 and has performed well at the box office.

According to production banner Sithara Entertainments, Kingdom has earned over $650,000 (Rs 5.42 Crore) in gross in North America on the first day.

The official social media account of Sithara Entertainments has shared the Kingdom box office update and tweeted, “USA premieres have already clocked $650K+ and are going absolutely monstrous.”

Kingdom is among the highly anticipated films of the year. Vijay is promoting the film widely, with the makers having high expectations.

The early reviews of the film from the viewers are already live, with the audience praising the action, music and Nani's cameo in Vijay Deverakonda’s film. However, the viewers were notably left disappointed with the storyline and performances from the actors.

The Telugu-language spy action thriller film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film features an ensemble cast.

Alongside Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse star in lead roles. The film also features an exciting cameo from the superstar Nani.

Kingdom revolves around a police constable, played by Vijay, who goes on a mission for his brother. Satyadev portrays Vijay’s brother, and what happens to him in Sri Lanka and the bond between the two brothers form the core of the film’s plot.

Kingdom is slated to release in the Indian theatres on July 31.
