Karan Johar breaks silence on his drastic weight-loss: Log kehte hai mujhe bimaari ho gayi hai, main zinda hu, meri sehat...

Filmmaker Karan Johar has been in the spotlight recently for more than just his movies. His drastic body transformation has triggered a storm of speculation online, with many questioning the reasons behind his significant weight loss. While rumors swirl about the use of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, Johar has consistently denied these claims.

At the trailer launch event of Dhadak 2 — starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi — Karan Johar finally addressed the buzz surrounding his physical transformation. Facing a barrage of questions from the media, he responded with his trademark candor and wit.
"I was reading on the Internet yesterday, people had already killed me," Johar said. "They said, 'What has happened to you? Which illness is this?' I want to say this to everyone, my health is absolutely fine. I'm very happy. I've never felt lighter on my feet."

Shutting down the health-related rumors with a dose of honesty, he continued, "There is only one reason behind my weight loss... I have adopted many new things to change my wellness in my life. I am alive and will remain alive. I'd like to tell the Internet that I want to live for many years, specifically for my children. I still have a lot of stories left in me."

The trolling intensified after a recent photo of Johar with comedian Samay Raina went viral. Fans and critics alike began to express concern over his slimmer frame, with many once again speculating about the use of medical aids like Ozempic or Mounjaro.

This isn’t the first time Johar has addressed these rumors. In a recent podcast appearance on Figuring Out With Raj Shamani, he opened up about his long-standing struggle with weight.

"I have always been battling the bulge. I have tried a thousand different diets and five hundred workouts. Nothing worked," he said. "After years of combatting it, I did some blood tests and realised the issues I had, with my thyroid, etc. Now people keep asking me, 'Are you on Ozempic, Mounjaro?' and I am tired of it. They have no idea about the truth, and I don't want to share it."

Through it all, Karan Johar remains unfazed by the noise. With a renewed focus on his health and wellness, and a clear message to his critics, the filmmaker is determined to move forward — lighter, stronger, and full of stories yet to be told.
