Ajay Devgn is all set to tickle the audience’s funny bone once again with the much-awaited sequel Son of Sardaar 2. While the trailer, launched on July 11, 2025, promises a laughter riot, it’s the first song from the film, Pehla Tu Duja Tu, that has become a viral sensation — and not exactly for the reasons the makers may have expected.

The quirky finger dance performed by Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur in the song quickly caught the attention of social media users, giving rise to a wave of memes and jokes online. Now, reacting to the viral trend and the trolling around it, Ajay Devgn shared his candid thoughts at the film’s trailer launch.

“Aap log mera mazaak udaate ho, lekin, mere liye ye bhi karna bohot mushkil tha. Maine kar diya, uska aap shukra guzaar kijiye,” Ajay said with a laugh, acknowledging the difficulty he had with the finger choreography and asking fans to give him credit for trying something new.

Ajay, who is best known for his intense action roles and trademark deadpan humor, admitted that dancing has never been his strongest suit. However, he embraced the fun around the finger dance memes with good humour.

“I think bohot funny memes hai. That was the idea also. Jab logon ko koi cheez funny lagti hai aur pasand aati hai, toh wohi viral hoti hai. Toh, I think we are really happy about that,” the actor added, showing that he takes the viral moment in stride.

Interestingly, even Kajol joined in on the fun. In a video shared by Miss Malini, she reacted to her husband’s now-famous finger move with her trademark wit. “I think Ajay Devgn is one of the best dancers we have in the film industry. Because he is the only person now who is able to dance with his fingers. Pehle hota tha ki chal ke aate the toh music uske hisaab se banta tha. Abhi toh sirf ungliyon se kar rahe hain. Ek, do, teen, chaar,” she joked.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 also marks the return of Sanjay Dutt as the lovable Don, Balwinder Singh Sandhu aka Billu. The film is produced by Devgn Films and SOS 2 Limited in association with Jio Studios, and is set to hit theatres alongside Param Sundari starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. With its mix of comedy, action, and now a viral dance step, Son of Sardaar 2 is already making waves before its release.
