Kajol praises Salman Khan’s unmatched stardom, calls Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan 'extremely professional'

In a recent reflection, actress Kajol shared her personal insights into the unique personalities and working styles of three of Bollywood's biggest icons: Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan.

In a recent interview with Galatta India, Kajol spoke fondly of her long-standing association with the trio, each of whom has left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry.

Speaking about Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, Kajol praised their professionalism and unwavering commitment to their craft. “They’re incredibly disciplined and focused when they’re on set,” she noted, emphasising the sharp contrast in their approach to filmmaking when compared to others in the industry.

When it came to Salman Khan, however, Kajol pointed out a different kind of charisma—one that transcends critical reviews or box office results. She remarked on his enduring popularity, calling it unparalleled in the industry. According to Kajol, “Salman has a kind of mass appeal that’s simply unique. His stardom doesn’t depend on a film’s success—he’s always been able to draw audiences in, regardless of the outcome.”

The interviewer also mentioned that actor Akshay Kumar has now equalled Salman Khan’s record with 18 films entering the ₹100 crore club. In response, Kajol acknowledged the milestone but added with a smile, “Even Akshay would agree that when it comes to sheer star power, Salman remains in a league of his own.”

Kajol and Salman Khan have previously shared screen space in several well-loved films, including Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Among these, their chemistry in Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya was especially well-received by audiences and continues to be fondly remembered.

Looking ahead, Kajol is set to appear in Maa, a mythological horror film directed by Vishal Furia. The project also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma, and is being produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande. Maa is slated for a theatrical release on 27 June.

Salman Khan, meanwhile, was last seen in Sikandar and is currently working on an upcoming action film with Sanjay Dutt. He also has Kick 2 lined up, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
