In a landmark moment for Indian cinema audiences, Universal Pictures, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery India, has announced the first-ever Hindi premiere of a Hollywood blockbuster — Jurassic World: Rebirth. The grand event is set to unfold on July 3 at the historic Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur, a venue synonymous with cultural grandeur and cinematic tradition.
This premiere marks a significant milestone, as it celebrates 31 years since Jurassic Park made history in 1994 as the first Hollywood film to be dubbed in Hindi. With Jurassic World: Rebirth, that legacy is not only remembered but revived for a whole new generation of Hindi-speaking fans, offering a thrilling and immersive experience in the language of their hearts.
The premiere event is expected to be nothing short of spectacular, with over 1,000 attendees including media representatives, fans, digital creators, and celebrities. The iconic Raj Mandir Cinema will be transformed with interactive dinosaur-themed installations, engaging photo zones, and immersive décor that brings the prehistoric world alive. Hosting the evening will be digital star Nagma Mirajkar, with special appearances by internet sensation Ashish Chanchlani and other influencers, adding a touch of glitz to the cinematic celebration.
Adding a nostalgic element to the event, veteran dubbing director Ashim Samanta, who helmed the original 1994 Hindi dub of Jurassic Park, returns to lead the Hindi adaptation of Jurassic World: Rebirth. His involvement is a heartfelt nod to the film’s enduring legacy and a promise of authenticity for long-time fans.
Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director, India, Warner Bros. Pictures, emphasized the cultural significance of the event. “This isn’t just a premiere, it’s a historic commitment to our Indian audience and a profound celebration of cinematic evolution,” he said. “By exclusively premiering Jurassic World: Rebirth in Hindi at the iconic Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur, we are honouring the legacy of the past while embracing the enthusiasm of our present-day fans.”
Directed by Emmy Award-winner Gareth Edwards, the film stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. Set in a remote equatorial zone where dinosaurs still roam, Jurassic World: Rebirth dives into a new adventure that explores how these ancient giants may hold the key to a miraculous medical breakthrough.
Jurassic World: Rebirth roars into theatres globally on July 4.
