Satish Shah, who was well-known for his roles in the sitcom Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai and the films Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron and Main Hoon Na, passed away on Saturday afternoon at his Bandra East home. He was 74.
The veteran actor’s funeral is scheduled for today, and several prominent actors from the Bollywood and Television industry have started arriving at his home to pay their last respects.
Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff was spotted outside Satish Shah’s Bandra residence. He was visibly upset.
Dilip Joshi was also spotted at the veteran actor’s home to pay his last respects.
Satish Shah’s close friends and his Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai co-stars, including Deven Bhojani and Sumeet Raghavan, were also there to pay their final goodbyes.
Meanwhile, Rupali Ganguly was also spotted at Satish Shah's funeral. A paparazzi video shows Rupali sobbing in her car and asking them not to record.
Paresh Ganatra has also arrived at the place.
Naseeruddin Shah, along with his family, also paid their last respects. Farah Khan, Poonam Dhillon, Pankaj Kapoor and other celebs also attended the funeral.
How did Satish Shah die?Satish Shah died at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 74 on Sunday, October 25. He had reportedly recently had a kidney transplant and had been struggling with kidney-related issues. According to Ramesh Kadatala, his manager, the actor passed out unexpectedly during lunch and was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.
His unexpected death has shocked the entertainment industry and his fans, who are grieving the loss of one of the most respected and versatile actors in Indian cinema.
Several industry professionals, including Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Chunky Panday, among others, paid tribute to the late veteran actor.
