BTS' Jin, has accomplished a significant milestone in his solo career, formally establishing himself as one of K-pop's most renowned performers.

His most recent single, "Don't Say You Love Me," which is from his 2025 album Echo, has become his first solo No. 1 on Spotify worldwide, rising to the top of the Global Top 50 chart.

Released on May 16th, the poignant ballad made a remarkable debut at No. 9.

The song quickly rose to the top of the charts, gaining over 5.6 million daily streams and attracting both new and devoted listeners worldwide. The song swiftly rose to the top of international playlists thanks to its emotional impact and Jin's powerful vocals.

Jin accomplishes this by following in the footsteps of fellow BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, who previously accomplished the same feat with their solo songs Like Crazy, Standing Next to You, 3D (featuring Jack Harlow), and Seven (featuring Latto).

BTS has surpassed One Direction, which had two members at the top of Spotify's global chart, and set a new industry record for a boy band with three members now having No. 1 solo hits.

Additionally, Don't Say You Love Me is the only song by an Asian artist to reach the top of Spotify's Global Top 50 in 2025. This gives Jin's achievement even more depth and emphasises how K-pop and Asian musicians are becoming more and more influential in mainstream music worldwide.

The song's powerful music video, which stars well-known South Korean actress Shin Se Kyung, enhances its emotional impact. Fans have responded favourably to the video's narrative depth and the on-screen chemistry between the two, leading to debate and repeat viewings.

The song, which is the lead single from Jin's second solo album Echo, showcases a more profound and reflective aspect of the performer. Echo, which follows his 2024 debut album Happy, delves into themes of love, grief, and emotional development, demonstrating Jin's development as a performer and a storyteller.

With the remaining members of BTS scheduled to finish their military service in June 2025, fans are anticipating their reunion as they celebrate this milestone.
