Tom Holland is all set to return in his iconic red suit in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The actor was filming some of the action scenes for the film when he sustained injuries.
According to Deadline, the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day was halted due to an injury sustained by actor Tom Holland. The filming of the Marvel film is taking place in Glasgow.
The reports suggested that Tom Holland’s injury forced the suspension of filming on Friday. The actor reportedly had a minor concussion.
However, Tom won't start filming again right away, but it shouldn't significantly slow down the process. Additionally, the film will not affect the planned release date.
A production source told the outlet that Tom Holland is taking a brief break from filming "out of precaution.” The actor will return to the set and the camera in a few days.
Tom frequently performs his own stunts in his films and has also experienced difficulties in the past.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor discussed the filming of the video game-based movie Uncharted. He revealed that he had to be struck by a car seventeen times while filming.
The actor explained, "On Uncharted, there was a point in time where I had to make the call and say, 'Guys, I'm going to need a weekend because if not, I'm going to sort of fall apart.' I got quite a nasty bit of tendinitis in my hamstring, which held me back quite a bit, but thankfully, that was more toward the end of the shoot.”

Tom started the shooting of the latest instalment in the Spider-verse on August 1, with areas of Glasgow transformed to resemble parts of an American city. Several videos from the set went viral on social media.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and penned by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released on July 31, 2026.
