The 2024 International Emmy Awards took place on the night of Monday, November 25, in New York. India's The Night Manager was nominated for Best Drama Series, and fans were hopeful that the Aditya Roy Kapur-starrer would bring home the award. However, the Disney+ Hotstar series lost out to the French-American-Japanese television series Les Gouttes de Dieu.
Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God) boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series stars Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita in lead roles and is based on the manga of the same name. The eight-episode series is available for streaming on Apple TV+.
The Night Manager was a remake of the international show of the same name. The Hollywood version, stars Tom Hiddleston in the lead. The original show was a big success.
The Indian version of The Night Manager starred Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role, with Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala playing important roles. The cast and crew flew to New York to attend the International Emmy Awards ceremony.
Actor Aditya Roy Kapur and director Sandeep Modi looked dapper as they arrived to attend one of the most prestigious award shows of all times.

Aditya Roy Kapur told HT, "The entire crew flew down. I had some time off from shooting as well, so I thought it would be a great way to wrap up the whole experience. It was a close-knit team that worked on the show, and everyone made time for this (to attend the Emmys)." He further mentioned that he isn’t focused on the results and believes being nominated is already a significant achievement. "I'm not thinking about all that. Maybe Sandeep (Modi, director) and the others are, but I think it’s amazing that we were nominated. If we win, it will be the cherry on top," he said.
