Gurmeet Choudhary reports theft at home

On June 3, television star Gurmeet Choudhary revealed on social media that a theft had taken place at his house, causing him to have a distressing experience.

The actor told fans on Instagram Stories that a recently hired domestic worker had stolen a number of household items before escaping. The majority of the stolen goods were recovered thanks to Gurmeet's prompt action and the staff's previous background checks.

In his post, Gurmeet emphasised the importance of staying vigilant. “Today, a new worker stole some items from our home and ran away. Thankfully, we always verify anyone who comes to work, so we could act quickly. I'm especially grateful I was home, and my babies were safe in their room. With prompt action and a few calls, we recovered most of the items - and most importantly, everyone is safe. Just a bit of bad luck, but a strong reminder: Stay alert. Always verify anyone who enters your home for work.”

Just hours before this unsettling update, Gurmeet and his wife Debina Bonnerjee had shared a heartwarming family moment on Instagram. Posting lovely photos with their daughters, Lianna and Divisha, the caption read: “Tiny hands. Big hearts. Full life.”

The couple, known for their iconic portrayal of Ram and Sita in the television series Ramayan, continue to enjoy strong fan support. On the professional front, Gurmeet and Debina are reportedly all set to appear together on a new reality show titled Pati Patni Aur Panga, which is rumoured to replace Laughter Chefs 2 in the coming weeks.

Debina, who is very active on social media, celebrated Mother’s Day 2025 with an emotional post, sharing adorable moments with her daughters. “They made me a mother, and in return, gave my life meaning I never knew I was missing... Grateful for every moment messy, magical, and full of love and twinning Happy Mother’s Day to me and all the moms holding it together with grace.”

Lianna and Divisha, who arrived on April 3, 2022, and November 11, 2022, respectively, are frequently referred to as the Irish Twins because they were born just a few months apart in the same year.
