Govinda’s sister Kamini Khanna addresses his and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce rumors, says, “Both families are involved…”

Bollywood superstar Govinda and wife Sunita Ahuja have recently made headlines for their divorce rumours. The couple have been together for years, but the recent reports have suggested trouble in their marriage.

However, Govinda, Sunita and some of their family members have released a statement debunking divorce speculations. Now, Govinda’s sister, Kamini Khanna, has come forward to address the rumors.

In the recent interview with IANS, Kamini claimed, “No, I don’t know much. I stay very busy, and they are very busy too. We meet very rarely, so I don’t know much. I don’t want to say too much on this topic because both families are involved, and I have a lot of love for both.”

Kamini also emphasised her close bond with Sunita, saying they support and care for each other like family. She shared, “Our parents are no longer with us, so we are like parents to each other. And we are also very good friends.”

Kamini further noted that personal matters should be kept private and not shared with the media, especially when it comes to sensitive topics. She wants people to respect Sunita and Govinda's privacy.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been together long before he became the Bollywood superstar he is today. The couple first met when Govinda was in his final year of his B.Com course and Sunita was in Class 9. The couple share a strong family connection as Sunita’s sister was married to Govinda’s maternal uncle, Anand Singh.

Govinda and Sunita grew closer as Govinda made his debut in Bollywood. After three years of dating, the couple married on 11 March 1987 and share two children: a daughter, Tina Ahuja, and a son, Yashvardhan.
