The title reveal of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film King was meant to be a celebratory moment on King Khan’s 60th birthday. Instead, it ignited an online debate over whether SRK’s outfit in the film was inspired or copied from Brad Pitt’s look in F1 movie.
As soon as the first visuals from King dropped, social media lit up with comparisons. In the teaser, Shah Rukh sports a rugged, silver-haired look, including a blue shirt layered with a tan jacket. This outfit, many noted, was strikingly similar to Brad Pitt’s in an F1 scene.
A fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Manifested SRK to look like Brad Pitt in F1 and the Universe didn’t even hesitate.” Another user commented, “I think this was intentional; a homage to Brad Pitt's #F1 look.”

But not everyone was convinced. Trolls chimed in quickly, with comments like, “Costume Designer just watched F1 before joining the sets of #King,” and “Lol, didn’t even try to hide.”
Adding fuel to the debate, several side-by-side video edits of Brad from F1 and Shah Rukh from King appeared across social platforms, labelling SRK’s look as “inspired” or even “copied.”
However, Shah Rukh’s fans weren’t having it. Many quickly dug up stills from the actor’s 2017 film Jab Harry Met Sejal, where SRK is already seen wearing the same combination of a light blue shirt and tan jacket.
A fan tweeted, “People are trolling #SRK for copying #BradPitt. Seriously bruh?” Others pointed out that fashion trends are cyclical, and that the look, emblematic of rugged charm, is hardly revolutionary.

Some even turned the debate into a moment of pride, saying that if anything, Brad might’ve been inspired by SRK. As one user joked, “Well now you know what card Brad Pitt had in F1,” referring to a prop Pitt’s character uses in the film.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King marks Shah Rukh’s second collaboration with the filmmaker after the blockbuster Pathaan in 2023. The film stars Suhana Khan in her feature debut, along with Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles.
