BTS members RM and V have officially completed their mandatory military service on Tuesday (June 10), marking a key step toward the group’s long-awaited reunion.
As excitement grows as more members approach discharge this month, the idols, both of whom were greeted by fervent fans outside the military base, saluted the audience and promised to return to the stage soon.
Holding a bouquet to mark his military discharge, RM expressed his eagerness to return to the stage, saying that performing is what he misses the most. "(Members) would feel the same, but stage performance, I want to perform the most. I’ll work hard to make an album soon and come back to the stage,” RM said, after playing the sax for the crowd.
"To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer and we will return with a really cool performance,” Speaking to the gathered fans and media, V addressed the crowd warmly. BTS’s devoted global fanbase, known as ARMY, showed their unwavering support during the moment.

As BTS members RM and V finished their required military service, fans from all over the world travelled to South Korea to celebrate the return of their "life-changing" idols. Another step towards the group's complete reunion is their discharge.
After completing their military service earlier, two other members, Jin and J-Hope, have been performing and appearing on variety shows as solo artists. According to media reports, Jimin, Jung Kook, and Suga are anticipated to finish their service by June 21.

The global sensation K-pop phenomenon BTS hasn't put out a group project since 2022, and now that more members are getting close to leaving, the group is eager to get back together and take centre stage once more. “After pursuing our own little ventures, we are now coming back together, and I love that for us,” J-Hope told a magazine in December.
Entertainment powerhouse HYBE, which manages BTS, is organizing a grand event this week called BTS FESTA to commemorate the group’s 12th anniversary with fans. While it remains uncertain if the members will make an appearance, Jin had attended the celebration last year. Meanwhile, HYBE’s shares surged by 2.3% as of 0211 GMT, reaching their highest level in over three years.
