Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took a heartfelt moment on Thursday to pay tribute to Madhu Shah, the beloved wife of late actor Satish Shah.

Ashoke posted a heartwarming picture of himself and Madhu on Instagram along with a heartfelt message honouring their 40-year friendship. He recalled her artistic beginnings as the daughter of famed photographer R.R. Prabhu and commended her for her warmth and love for everyone in her vicinity.

He wrote, “Dear Madhu, I’ve known you for over 40 years. You have always believed in goodness and in spreading love and affection. Being the daughter of ace photographer R.R. Prabhu, who always greeted me with his artistic smile and graceful gesture, you have beautifully carried forward his legacy with your talent as both an actress and a fashion designer.”

Ashoke fondly recalled the early days of her career when she performed in his one-act plays during her college years at SNDT, Juhu. “I remember you playing key roles in my one-act plays. Satish saw your performance at an inter-collegiate competition and was so impressed with your award-winning act. That’s when your love story began — one that became one of my favourite jodis. You and Satish were symbols of grace, humour, and togetherness,” he shared.

He also remembered the fun moments from their time on the sets of Filmi Chakkar, saying, “I still remember the tiffin you used to send for us with Satish — though he would eat it all by himself and not let anyone touch it.”

Concluding his tribute on an emotional yet hopeful note, Ashoke promised to collaborate with her again. “I refuse to believe you’re not well. For me, you’re still the same loving and affectionate person. Satish always said he owed his success to you. Let’s do a play together again, and I’m sure you’ll win the ‘best actress’ award — Satish will be clapping proudly from above. I’ll plan the schedule and let you know,” he wrote.

Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74. His legacy lives on through Madhu and the many lives he touched with his warmth, humour, and unforgettable performances.
