Anunay Sood death: Las Vegas Police reveal new details amidst ongoing investigation of the influencer's demise

As the investigation continues, the Las Vegas Police Department has provided new information regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.

The sudden death of travel influencer Anunay Sood in Las Vegas on November 16 has sent shockwaves across the entertainment and creator communities. His untimely passing at the age of 32 deeply saddened fans and fellow creators worldwide.

As the investigation continues, the Las Vegas Police Department has provided new information regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to a recent report released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard following the discovery of a body inside a hotel room.

In an official statement, the department clarified the nature of their involvement: “LVMPD responded to a dead body located in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Officers assisted the coroner and took a non-criminal/medical report.”

While the police have not officially confirmed the cause of death, media reports have suggested that narcotics were found within Anunay's hotel room, prompting investigators to consider a possible drug overdose.

Reports indicate that Anunay was staying at the hotel with a woman, who informed police that the two had allegedly purchased cocaine on the casino floor around 4:00 a.m. The individuals reportedly consumed the substance before retiring to sleep. Approximately an hour later, she woke up and found Anunay unresponsive.

It is reported that detectives recovered a bag containing an unknown white substance from the room. Despite widespread media speculation, authorities have yet to officially confirm the nature of the recovered substance or definitively rule on the cause of death.

Anunay was reportedly in the United States to attend the Las Vegas Concours 2025, a prestigious car show, and had shared updates and glimpses from the event on his Instagram account just days before his passing.
