Ranveer Singh turned reflective at the trailer launch of Dhurandhar in Mumbai, opening up about the unusual emotional space in which he and director Aditya Dhar began the film. What he shared added a surprising layer of intimacy to an event otherwise packed with action-talk, applauds and high-voltage music.

Speaking about how the project came into his life, Ranveer said the timing aligned with a major shift in both their personal worlds. “When we came together for this film, it happened at a very unusual moment in our lives. Over the last two years, we’ve all gone through so much,” he said in front of the media. He explained that he and Aditya Dhar were not just tackling a demanding action thriller but also navigating parallel life milestones. “We were handling our scenes, our work, our teams, and everything that came with it. I’m truly grateful to you. From the very first day, you have been there.”

Ranveer didn’t shy away from emphasising how the bond deepened as shooting progressed. The actor noted that they both stepped into parenthood during this period, creating an unexpected and touching overlap. “When we met for this film, our lives were in a very different phase. Over these two years, we supported each other, we understood each other, and we learned from each other. I’m really thankful to you for all of it,” he said.

The actor also praised Aditya Dhar’s eye for storytelling, remarking, “Arjun ki aankh hoti hai waise aapne film banayi hai.” He added that their personal journeys began to mirror each other in ways that made the collaboration feel almost fated.

Later, Ranveer summed up their shared phase with a simple but heartfelt line that instantly caught attention. “He had a baby boy, I had a baby girl,” he said, describing how both of them were learning to balance the chaos of new parenthood with the intensity of creating a large-scale film.

Dhurandhar’s trailer launch was designed to highlight massive action, patriotic fury and Ranveer’s return to an aggressive, brooding avatar. Instead, the actor ended up giving the moment an unexpected emotional core. It offered a glimpse of two artists building a film while quietly navigating the most tender transition of their lives.
