Beyoncé and Jay-Z graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King on Monday, December 9, to support their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
The 12-year-old, Blue, lends her voice to Kiara, the daughter of Simba (voiced by Donald Glover) and Nala (voiced by Beyoncé), in this prequel to Disney's 2019 photorealistic remake of The Lion King. Both Glover and Beyoncé reprise their iconic roles in this much-anticipated project.
Beyoncé took to Instagram appreciating her daughter for her hard work and expressed how proud she is of her baby girl. The emotional note read, "My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining."
This marks the second Lion King premiere that Blue Ivy has attended alongside her mother, Beyoncé, continuing their tradition of gracing such iconic events together.
Blue Ivy Carter confidently walked the red carpet, striking poses for the paparazzi with poise. At one point, her grandmother, Tina Knowles, was spotted adjusting her dress, creating a sweet family moment.
The premiere also saw appearances from Aaron Pierre, who voices the titular Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka, Anika Noni Rose as Afia, John Kani reprising his role as Rafiki, Keith David as Masego, and Tiffany Boone as Sarabi. Additionally, returning cast members Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner, known for their roles as Timon and Pumbaa in the 2019 The Lion King, were also in attendance, adding to the star-studded event.
In a shocking turn of events, Jay-Z has been implicated in a rape lawsuit alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs. Initially filed in October, the lawsuit originally named only Diddy as a defendant.
The accuser, an anonymous woman, alleges that the assault occurred after the MTV Music Awards in New York in 2000, when she was just 13 years old. She claims that Diddy drugged and raped her and has now accused Jay-Z of being involved in the incident as well.
