Jigra is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly anticipated films of 2024. Headlined by Alia Bhatt, this action thriller features Vedang Raina in the role of her brother. As excitement builds for its October release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially certified the film's teaser.

According to the CBFC's website, the teaser has a runtime of 2 minutes and 52 seconds and has been given a ‘UA’ rating, reflecting its broad audience appeal.

In the poster, Alia is seen from behind, wearing a backpack and holding tools like a hammer, while Vedang looms in the background with a dark, moody tone that reflects the intense theme of the film.

She captioned the post, "'Tu mere protection mein hai' #Jigra in cinemas 11th October," teasing the film's core theme of protection.

Alia Bhatt again shared another poster from the film featuring herself. She can be seen holding tools and looking ahead.


The storyline of Jigra centers on a daring prison break attempt. Directed by Vasan Bala, with a screenplay by Bala and Debashish Irengbam, the film stars Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, and Aditya Nanda in key roles.

It is jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, coinciding with the festive celebration of Dussehra.
