The Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt's sister, Shaheen Bhatt, has finally confirmed that she is dating fitness coach Ishaan Mehra. The writer and mental health advocate ended rumours that had been going around since the beginning of the year by posting loving photos of herself with her partner on social media.

According to his Instagram bio, Ishaan Mehra is a former international swimmer in addition to being a fitness professional. When Shaheen was spotted cuddling up to an unidentified man during a New Year's vacation earlier this year, the couple ignited dating rumours.

The Bhatt and Kapoor families had rung in 2025 together in Thailand, where Shaheen posted several photos from the holiday. Among them, one picture particularly caught the eye—Shaheen was seen sitting in a boat, embraced by a man whose identity remained unknown at the time. In another photo, she could be seen sharing a warm hug with the same individual. That “mystery man” has now been revealed to be Ishaan Mehra.

Shaheen’s journey has been one of strength and resilience. She has been open about her long battle with depression, something she has candidly written about in her book I've Never Been (Un)Happier. In various interviews, she has spoken about struggling with mental health from the young age of 12, attributing part of it to the absence of emotional support during her formative years.

For those unaware, Shaheen previously dated comedian Rohan Joshi. However, her new relationship with Ishaan Mehra has brought much joy to fans, who have flooded social media with messages of love and support for the couple.
