Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is riding on the early success of his latest release, Jolly LLB 3, recently addressed the viral photo that show him in the role of Maharishi Valmiki.
The clip sparked curiosity among the fans, sparking speculations that he has joined the cast of Ramayana. However, the actor has revealed that the trailer is actually AI-generated.
He took to his Instagram Story and wrote, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using Al.”
He added, “What's worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as 'news' without even verifying if these are real or morphed. In today's time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative Al. I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information.”
On the work front, Akshay was last seen in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi. The has performed well on the box office in the first three days of its release. However, the film saw a steep decline on its first Monday.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the third instalment of the legal comedy franchise brings the two Jollies from parts 1 and 2 together for the first time. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, Seema Biswas and Gajraj Rao in the key roles.
