In a heartwarming twist to one of 2025’s most talked-about releases, Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan’s mother, Zeenat Hussain, has made her on-screen debut, marking a touching milestone in the emotional drama’s journey.

The film, a spiritual follow-up to the iconic Taare Zameen Par (2007), has captivated audiences across India with its compassionate narrative, and Zeenat’s cameo has added an extra layer of sentiment for fans and the Khan family alike.

A source close to the family revealed the depth of Zeenat Hussain’s feelings about participating in the film. "I'm deeply proud of Sitaare Zameen Par. The fact that this film touched so many hearts and found success means the world to me. I'm truly grateful to have been a part of something so meaningful, it’s an experience I will always carry with me. I am very proud of Aamir for keeping cinema first," she shared.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film delves into the challenges faced by children with learning differences and shines a light on the transformative power of empathy and love. Zeenat’s brief yet moving appearance resonated with many, underlining the film’s message of parental support and emotional connection.

Her presence, although modest in screen time, offered a rare, genuine glimpse into the bond between Aamir and his mother, drawing applause from critics and audiences alike.

Sitaare Zameen Par also serves as a launchpad for ten promising young talents—Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Alongside Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, they bring raw energy and authenticity to the film.

Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka, the film released theatrically on 20 June 2025 under the Aamir Khan Productions banner.

With themes that echo deeply and performances that stir the heart, Sitaare Zameen Par continues to shine—now made even more memorable by Zeenat Hussain’s touching debut.
