Disha Patani's father Jagdish Patani's father reveals '8-10 rounds' gunshots fired at house, Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara claim responsibility

Disha Patani's house was attacked

Fire shots were fired at Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s family home in Civil Lines, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday morning.

According to reports, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired two rounds before escaping the scene.

Now gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar have come forward and taken the responsibility for the firing. In a social media post on Facebook, they claimed that the attack was carried out in retaliation against alleged comments of Disha's sister about Sant Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.

They wrote a threatening message in Hindi that translates to, “This was just a trailer. Next time, no one will be left alive.”

In addition to threatening severe repercussions for any future disrespect to their religion or esteemed spiritual leader, the gang accused the Patani family of insulting Sanatan Dharma.

The gang also issued a warning against the film industry and the other Bollywood actors, in addition to the Patani family.

They warned in the post, “We can go to any extent to protect our religion. Religion and society come first, and defending them is our duty.”

In a recent conversation with ANI, Disha’s father, Jagdish Patani, said, “Two unidentified assailants fired at my residence… Police are making all possible efforts… Bareilly Police, SSP, ADG are all working on it… The gunshots are not indigenous; they are foreign-made… I think 8-10 rounds were fired… I came to know through social media that Goldy Brar has taken its responsibility but it is not clear yet…”

Disha's mother, Padma Patani, her father, Jagdish Patani, a retired DSP, and sister, Khushboo Patani, a former army officer, were all inside the house when the incident occurred. The sound of gunfire shocked the family.

Security personnel have since been stationed at the scene after police subsequently found two empty cartridges outside the house. The police are currently investigating the case and have also obtained the CCTV footage of the area. Additionally, five teams have been formed to track and arrest the culprits.
