'South se saaf, North se half: Sachin Pilot's prediction for BJP in Lok Sabha polls

Sachin Pilot remarked that the BJP boasts about reaching 300 or 400 seats, and if they were genuinely confident, why would they feel the necessity to poach opposition members and field them as their own candidates in elections

Sachin Pilot also predicted that in Rajasthan Congress will win more seats than the BJP in both phases of the Lok Sabha polls

Congress leader Sachin Pilot on April 20 expressed optimism regarding the outcome of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls for the party. Addressing reporters, Pilot, who oversees the party's affairs in Chhattisgarh, asserted that all Congress candidates are poised for victory, expressing confidence in the party's ability to secure a majority.

"All candidates of the Congress will win. Congress will get the majority," said Pilot.

When asked about the performance of the BJP, Pilot said that BJP will be erased from the South and its numbers will be reduced to half in the North. He said,'South se saaf, North se half' is going to happen with the BJP." The leader also predicted that in Rajasthan, the Congress will win more seats than the BJP in both phases of the Lok Sabha polls.

Earlier, Pilot said that the "Bharatiya Janata Party talks about crossing 300 or 400 seats, but if they were so confident, why do they need to bring opposition members into their party and contest elections? They say one thing but their actions suggest otherwise. If they are so confident, then why the need to bring our former ministers, former MPs, and MLAs into their party?"

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Rajasthan is going to give all 25 Lok Sabha seats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third time.

During a campaign rally in Bhilwara, Shah took aim at former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, noting his focus is only on the election campaign of his son, Vaibhav Gehlot, who is contesting from Jalore.

"Vaibhav Gehlot is going to lose the election by a huge margin," Shah claimed. "The first phase of elections was yesterday (Friday). All 12 seats of Rajasthan that voted in the first phase are going to Narendra Modi. Rajasthan is going to make a hat-trick of giving all 25 seats to Narendra Modi for a third time," Shah said.
