Can AAP-Congress combine counter the BJP in Delhi?

Delhi sends seven members to the Lok Sabha. According to the recent seat-sharing arrangement, AAP will contest four of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi while the remaining three will be contested by the Congress party. In 2019, all seven Lok Sabha. In 2019, all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi — Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi and South Delhi — were won by the BJP. In 2014 too, the BJP won all these seats, defeating the Congress. The seat-sharing agreement between the AAP and Congress fructified after rounds of negotiations. Both parties were not willing to cede seats in a state where they compete aggressively in the Assembly polls. According to the seat-sharing arrangement, Malviya Nagar MLA Somnath Bharti will contest the New Delhi seat, Tughlakabad legislator Sahiram Pahalwan from South Delhi, Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar from East Delhi, and senior party leader Mahabal Mishra will represent the AAP in West Delhi. The Congress will contest the North East Delhi, North West Delhi, and Chandni Chowk. During the campaign in 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s main plank was national security while the Aam Aadmi Party had sought votes for getting Delhi the status of a full state. The Congress showcased works done by the party’s government in Delhi during its 15-year regime.
