Nitish Kumar will take oath as the Bihar Chief Minister for the tenth time on Thursday, according to areport by News18. He is scheduled to take oath at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan
He was elected chosen as the head of the NDA during a meeting of representatives from the five constituent parties on Wednesday in Patna.
On Monday, Nitish met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan in Patna to recommend the dissolution of the current legislative assembly.
Samrat Choudhary was on Wednesday named the Bihar BJP legislature party leader.
Kumar will meet Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan in the evening, requesting him to initiate the process for the formation of the new government. He will also submit a letter of support from all NDA constituents to the governor for the formation of the new government.
The NDA won the Bihar assembly election with BJP bagging 89, JD(U) 85, LJP (RV) 19, HAM-S 5 and RLM 4. The opposition’s Mahagathbandhan was decimated to less than 40 seats, with RJD getting 25 and the Congress getting six out of the 61 it had contested.
According to Hindustan Times, the NDA may allocate roughly one ministerial post for every six MLAs in order to ensure balanced representation within the alliance. The coalition government would include members from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United) or JD(U), Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) or HAM(S),
