The first batch of students from the "BSEB Super 50" program, a free coaching initiative by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for IIT JEE preparation, has delivered outstanding results in the JEE (Main) 2025 (Session-1). The program, launched by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar on August 23, 2023, aims to support talented students from the state in securing admissions to top engineering institutions like IITs.
According to Shri Anand Kishore, Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, four students from the program have scored 99 percentile or above in the JEE (Main) 2025 (Session-1). Yash Raj secured 99.20 percentile, followed by Sunny Kumar (99.18 percentile), Ashish Kumar (99.10 percentile), and Sachin Kumar (99.00 percentile). Additionally, 39 out of 99 students scored above 90 percentile, while 23 students crossed the 95 percentile mark.
When compared to the previous year's JEE (Main) cut-off, 61 out of 99 students in the current batch have achieved a higher percentile than the 2024 qualifying marks. The final cut-off for JEE (Advanced) will be announced after the JEE (Main) 2025 (Session-II) examination.
The "BSEB Super 50" program, which began its first session in August-September 2023, faced a delayed start due to it being the inaugural batch. Despite this, the students and teachers worked hard to achieve these impressive results. The program provides free residential coaching to selected students and focuses on rigorous preparation for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
The Bihar School Examination Board has also announced the opening of online applications for the next batches. Students who have passed their 10th-grade exams in 2025 under BSEB, CBSE, ICSE, or other recognized boards and wish to join class 11th can apply for the 2025-27 batch. Similarly, students currently in class 11th who will move to class 12th after their annual exams can apply for the 2024-26 session. The application window will be open from February 22, 2025, to March 12, 2025.
