CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that all examination centers for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2025 will be required to have closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance in place. This mandatory requirement aims to ensure the integrity and fairness of the examinations.
Approximately 44 lakh students are expected to appear for the board exams, which will be conducted across India and in 26 countries abroad. To accommodate this large number of candidates, around 8000 schools will serve as examination centers.
The CBSE has developed a comprehensive CCTV policy that outlines the specific requirements for camera placement and coverage within the examination centers. Schools that do not currently have CCTV systems will need to install them in accordance with the policy in order to be considered as potential examination centers.

The decision to make CCTV surveillance mandatory comes in line with the CBSE's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability in the examination process. By ensuring that all examination centers are equipped with CCTV cameras, the board aims to deter cheating and other irregularities and to provide a secure and conducive environment for students to demonstrate their knowledge.
