CCTV footage from the house captured the moments of burglary. One thief stood just beside the bed with what appeared to be a metal rod, seemingly ready to strike if Ritvik woke up. Another thief rummaged through the almirah, stuffing jewellery and cash into a bag.
The video showed that despite a loud ringing alarm, Ritvik did not wake up. An X user, while sharing the video, wrote, “They would have killed Justice Garg’s son (in the video) if he had woken up. Fortunately, he kept sleeping despite the loud alarm. Security Guard was also sleeping".
The video, shared online, claimed that the entire heist lasted only 4 minutes and 10 seconds. The post alleged that three criminals were involved, and they escaped with approximately Rs 5 lakh in cash along with gold and silver jewellery.
In the footage, the thieves appeared unfazed by the alarm and left the premises with their loot.
The Madhya Pradesh Police has registered an FIR in the case and begun an investigation. Officers have obtained the CCTV footage and are analysing it to identify and apprehend the three suspects involved, India TV reported.
