Nissan has launched the Magnite Kuro ahead of the festive season.

Nissan Motor India has introduced the Magnite Kuro Special Edition in India, priced at Rs 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are open at Nissan dealerships and on the Nissan India website for Rs 11,000.

The Magnite Kuro Special Edition is based on a black colour theme. The exterior includes piano black front grille, resin black front and rear skid plates, gloss black roof rails, black door handles, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The vehicle carries a 'Kuro' badge under the Magnite branding on the left fender.

Inside, the model uses a black dashboard, piano black gear shift garnish, piano black steering insert, black sun visors, and black door trims. It is equipped with black LED headlamps with LightSabre turn indicators, a sable black wireless charger as standard, and an advanced driver assist display. A dash cam is offered as an accessory.

Both naturally aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol powertrains are available on the Magnite Kuro Special Edition. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS and 96Nm) can be paired either with a 5-speed MT or AMT, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (100PS and 160Nm) has 5-speed MT and CVT choices.

The made-in-India Magnite holds a five-star overall passenger safety rating from Global NCAP. Built on the CMF-A+ platform, the Magnite is fitted with over 40 standard safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, brake assist, and tyre pressure monitoring.

A new metallic grey colour has also been introduced in the Magnite range, available across Tekna, Tekna+ and N Connecta variants. The Magnite is exported to over 65 countries, including both right-hand drive and left-hand drive markets.

For reference, the standard Nissan Magnite is priced between Rs 6.14 lakh and Rs 11.92 lakh (ex-showroom), and rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Renault Kiger.
