With the Shine 100 DX and the CB125 Hornet, Honda has tried to introduce more feature-rich models in the respective segments.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the Honda Shine 100 DZ and the Honda CB125 Hornet, revealing the prices of both motorcycles. Also, the new models can be booked now via the company’s official website or any authorised dealership.

The following are their prices (ex-showroom)

Shine 100 DX - Rs 74,959
CB125 Hornet - Rs 1.12 lakh (introductory)

While the new Honda Shine 100 DX is targeted at the commuter segment buyers looking for more features than the already available Honda Shine 100, the new Honda CB125 Hornet is aimed at Gen-Z buyers with its aggressive style and stance.

Talking about the Shine 100 DX, it uses the same 98.98 cc, 4-stroke, SI engine, which is employed by the Shine 100. It develops 7.38 PS of maximum power and 8.04 Nm of peak twisting force. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.

The Shine 100 DX gets four new colours — Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic and Geny Grey Metallic — with fresh graphics and generous use of chrome all across. There is a new LCD digital instrument cluster as well.

The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes at the front and rear with Honda’s combined brake system (CBS). The new Shine 100 DX rides on 17-inch tubeless tyres. The ground clearance is 168 mm to tackle all types of terrains.

Powering the CB125 Hornet is a 123.94 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, which generates 11.15 PS of maximum power and 11.2 Nm of peak torque. The motor is clubbed with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest motorcycle in its class, Honda claimed.

The CB125 Hornet comes with segment-first golden USD front forks and a 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. For taking care of the braking duties, Honda has equipped the motorcycle with a 240 mm petal disc at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear. There is also a single-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloys shod with tubeless tyres, with the rear unit being particularly wide (110/80-17).

The CB125 Hornet features an all-LED lighting set-up (twin headlight with DRLs, taillight and winkers), a muscular fuel tank with sharp shrouds and chrome muffler. The ignition key is positioned on the tank. Adding more sportiness are the split seats. The 4.2-inch TFT display offers Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync app compatibility.

The CB125 Hornet is offered in four colour options — Pearl Siren Blue with Lemon Ice Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Siren Blue with Athletic Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue with Sports Red.
