German luxury carmaker BMW will increase prices of its entire range of vehicles in India by up to 3 percent from September 1, 2025, blaming the move on continued foreign exchange fluctuations and global supply chain pressures.
The company’s portfolio in India spans luxury sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles, starting from the 2 Series Gran Coupé at Rs 46.9 lakh to the flagship BMW XM priced at Rs 2.6 crore.
‘Material and logistics costs on the rise’
“BMW India’s growth and sales momentum in the first half of the year has been remarkable. However, factors like continued forex impact and global supply chain dynamics have been leading to increased material and logistics costs,” BMW Group India President and CEO Vikram Pawah said.
He added that the company is preparing to roll out “several new power-packed profiles” during the festive season, with demand for BMW’s luxury offerings continuing to remain strong.
Second price increase in less than a year
This is BMW India’s second price hike in under 12 months. On November 22, 2024, the company had announced a similar increase of up to 3 percent across its range effective January 1, 2025.
BMW locally produces models such as the 2 Series Gran Coupé, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series Long Wheelbase, X1, X3, X5, X7 and M340i. The automaker also imports several Completely Built-up Units (CBUs) including the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX1, BMW iX, Z4 M40i and M2 Coupé.
