Moser Baer Clean Energy has commissioned a 4.99 MWp solar project in Italy, that will generate about 7.5 million units of clean energy.
The company has developed, built and commissioned the 4.99 MWp solar project in Sardinia, at an estimated cost of Rs 130 crore."The commissioning of 4.99 MWp solar farm will help in generation of approximately 7.5 million units of clean energy annually and the site will still be used for agricultural purposes," Moser Baer Clean Energy Chief Operating Officer Lalit Jain said in a statement today.MWp or megawatts-peak, refers to power output related to solar energy.The company noted this project (4.99 MWp) was completed in nine weeks, with the support of local partner Brain's Srl - an entity specialising in the development of power plants using renewable energies.Moser Baer Clean Energy expects to commission next phase of the project, having a capacity of 15 MWp, by October 31."The objective of the project was to set up a solar farm that generates clean energy along side agricultural activities to promote the cause of creating sustainable environment," the statement noted.The energy generated from the solar farm will be fed into the 150 KV local sub
