Core Projects & Technologies Ltd (CPTL), a leader in the education vertical, has announced that the Exceptional Children's Division of the Department of Public Instruction, State of North Carolina, has renewed its contract with the company's subsidiary, Enterprise Computing Services (ECS) for a sum of Rs 30 crore.

The contract was originally awarded to CORE Projects in 2003, for customization of the Division's web based Special Education project called Bright Idea. The project, called CECAS (Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System), is a case management and data analysis system offered to Local Education Authorities (LEAs), Charter Schools, and State-Operated Programs (SOPs) as a means to manage and analyze data related to exceptional children.

All phases of the CECAS project were successfully completed on schedule and the system currently facilitates information for over 200,000 challenged students across school and district boundaries throughout the State.

CPTL has also developed a unique solution for a special 'Education for All' project undertaken by the Government of Jharkhand. The programme is being jointly implemented by the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), the Jharkhand Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (JAPIT) and CPTL.
