Data storage company Western Digital (WD) has introduced a portable HDD expansion across its WD, WD_BLACK and SanDisk Professional product lineups, in 2.5-inch portable hard disk drives (HDDs). WD claims that these are the "world’s highest storage capacity" hard disk drives.
The WD My Passport portable HDD line and SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD in 6TB capacities, are now available in India.
The 6TB WD My Passport and 6TB WD Elements HDDs: Price and availability
The 6TB WD My Passport retails for Rs 15,499 MSRP. The 6TB WD My Passport (the USB-C version) retails for Rs 15,999 MSRP.
The 6TB WD Elements drive retails for Rs 15,299 MSRP. The new WD products are available now at select Western Digital retailers, e-tailers and the Western Digital Store.
The 6TB SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD: Price and availability
The 6TB SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD retails for Rs 20,999 MSRP. The SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD drive will be available by the end of this month at select Western Digital retailers, e-tailers and the Western Digital Store.
The WD My Passport (6TB) HDDs
Western Digital says that with up to 6TB capacities now available for the WD My Passport hard drive line, people can store more and back up their digital memories with peace of mind. The WD My Passport Ultra drive portable storage solution comes equipped with USB-C technology and a modern metal design. It is ready right out of the box and features a convenient, slim form factor. Its password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption helps keep precious content safe and secure. The My Passport hard drives are available in different colour options.
The SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD drive
With the 6TB SanDisk Professional’s G-DRIVE ArmorATD drive, consumers get a highly sturdy, all-terrain disk drive that comes with shock, IP54 rain-and-dust and crush resistance to help protect valuable footage from out in the wild to back in the studio.
