Vivo’s latest book-style flagship foldable smartphone, the X Fold 5, is set to launch in India soon. The company has announced its India launch date, and it will be introduced alongside the Vivo X200 FE. Both smartphones will feature Zeiss-backed rear camera units. The company has also officially confirmed several key specifications of both smartphones, including the chipset, camera details, as well as battery capacity.
Vivo X Fold 5, X200 FE: Launch date, expected specifications
Through a new press release and an X post, Vivo has revealed that the Vivo X Fold 5 and Vivo X200 FE will launch in India on July 14 at 12 PM IST. Both smartphones will be available via the Vivo India e-store and Flipkart. The company has also revealed that X Fold 5 foldable smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the X200 FE will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset.
Further, the X200 FE will be sold in India in Amber Yellow, Frost Blue, and Luxe Grey colour shades, while the Vivo X Fold 5 is confirmed to come in a Titanium Grey colourway. In terms of cameras, the X Fold 5 will sport a triple 50MP camera system, co-developed with Zeiss, which includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the X200 FE will have a 50MP main and a 50MP telephoto lens, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
The Indian variant of the Vivo X Fold 5, similar to its Chinese version, will pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. On the other hand, the Vivo X200 FE will be backed by a 6,500 with 90W fast charging.
