Upcoming smartphone launches of 2025: From iPhone 17, Samsung Galaxy S25 series to OnePlus 13 and more

Like every year, 2025 is also expected to witness big and small launches. Some brands have already confirmed the launch of their smartphone for 2025, while some will announce the year proceeds. Here’s everything we know so far that are set to arrive next year.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series
Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy S25 series early next year in January. The lineup is expected to include three models – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. In terms of features, the lineup will introduce the updated chips from either Qualcomm or Samsung’s own Exynos. We also expect to see some camera upgrades with these devices. Talking about features, the phones will debut with One UI 7 which is expected to bring some major changes in terms of UI, features and Galaxy AI.

OnePlus 13 series
OnePlus has also confirmed the January 7 launch date for its next flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 13 series. The lineup will include two models – the OnePlus 13 and the relatively affordable version OnePlus 13R. Along with this, the company is also expected to introduce a new colour option for the OnePlus Buds Pro 3. The handsets are expected to be powered by Qualcomm chips and feature upgraded cameras, batteries and displays.

Apple iPhone 17 series
Like every year, Apple will introduce the iPhone 17 by the end of 2025. The lineup will include three or four models depending upon whether Apple introduces the much-awaited iPhone 17 Slim. Apple iPhone 17 is expected to be powered by the upgraded A series processors along with some camera and battery improvements. Apple could also bring more AI-powered features to the iPhone 17 series.

Asus ROG Phone 9
Asus has already unveiled its next ROG Phone – ROG Phone 9 – globally. The handset is also expected to make the cut to the Indian market in early 2025. The handset is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with some boosted clock speed. Moreover, the phone will come with the Android 15 operating system and an advanced cooling system.

Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi 15 will also launch next year. The handset will feature a compact design and target audience who prefer a relatively smaller form factor. Moreover, the headset is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6.36-inch display.

iPhone SE 4
Apple is also rumoured to announce the next smartphone in the iPhone SE series. The updated iPhone SE4 is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest-generation chipset. Apart from that, the handset is speculated to see a major design upgrade over it predecessor. Rumours suggest that Apple might bring the modern – bezel-less and notch design to the iPhone SE4. The iPhone SE4 is also likely to become the cheapest iPhone to support Apple Intelligence features.

Other launches

These were some popular phones that are expected to arrive next year. However, brands like Samsung will also introduce the updated A and M series phones next year with new features, more powerful performance and camera upgrades.

OnePlus will also introduce the Nord series phones next year which might include Nord 5, Nord CE5, and Nord CE5 Lite. OnePlus Open 2 is also speculated to arrive next year.

Oppo is also expected to introduce several affordable phones next year.

Talking about Vivo, We can expect to see the Vivo V50 series and Vivo T4 series next year with updated chips, features and designs.
