Earlier this month, Chinese smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo introduced their latest budget smartphones, the Oppo K13x 5G and Vivo T4 Lite 5G, in India. Durability is said to be one of the strongest suits of these new handsets, along with a high-capacity battery. Moreover, they come with eye-catching designs and are currently one of the most value-for-money propositions for prospective buyers looking to buy a smartphone under Rs 15,000.
Let us now compare the features and specs of these two smartphones and see which is the better budget smartphone to buy in 2025. We have compiled a detailed comparison of the Oppo K13x 5G and the Vivo T4 Lite 5G to help you make an informed buying decision.
Oppo K13x 5G vs Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Design
The Oppo K13x 5G comes with a biomimetic Sponge Shock Absorption System, which is claimed to be inspired by sea sponges and improves shock resistance. It also has MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability and features a 360-degree Damage-Proof Armour Body. Further, the handset has an IP65-rated build against dust and water ingress. It offers 7.99 mm thickness and weighs 194 grams.
Meanwhile, the Vivo T4 Lite 5G also offers the same MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability. However, it is a bit heavier at around 202 grams. It also offers a lower IP64 rating for protection against dust and water. In terms of durability, Vivo claims that the T4 Lite 5G can be operated in extreme environmental temperature conditions.
Oppo K13x 5G vs Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Display
The Oppo K13x 5G comes with a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits brightness, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel offers 100% sRGB coverage and 88% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. It also supports Splash Touch and Glove Touch technologies.
The Vivo T4 Lite 5G has a slightly taller 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a similar 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel is said to offer a pixel density of 260 ppi and a 1,000 nits peak brightness. It comes with TUV Rheinland Eye Protection. However, it comes with a water drop notch, instead of the more premium punch hole camera design on the K13x 5G.
Oppo K13x 5G vs Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Cameras
In the camera department, both smartphones share a lot of similarities. The Oppo K13x 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Further, it has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.
Similarly, the Vivo T4 Lite 5G has a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP bokeh lens. However, on the front, it comes with an inferior 5MP lens. Hence, if you love clicking selfies or spend a lot of time on video calls, the K13x 5G would be a better choice.
Oppo K13x 5G vs Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Performance and Battery
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Oppo K13x 5G offers faster UFS 2.2 storage, in contrast to the slower eMMC5.1 storage type on the Vivo T4 Lite 5G. That means app opening and file transfers will be quicker on the K13x 5G. However, Vivo’s offering comes with a 256GB storage option as well. Both handsets run on Android 15, with the T4 Lite 5G coming with Funtouch OS 15, while the K13x 5G brings in ColorOS 15.
Battery life is solid on these devices, as you get a big 6000mAh battery pack on both smartphones. However, the Oppo K13x 5G supports faster 45W fast charging, while the Vivo T4 Lite 5G sticks with just 15W, which will take more than two hours to fully charge the smartphone.
Oppo K13x 5G vs Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Conclusion
On paper, both smartphones are quite similar, owing to their similar display resolution, processing speeds, and battery life. However, the Oppo K13x 5G offers a slight durability advantage with its SGS Gold Drop Certification, faster read and write speed, and quicker battery recharge ability. It also comes with a higher resolution front lens.
So, if these factors are non-negotiable for you, then buying the Oppo K13x 5G makes much more sense. However, if you require more internal storage space at a lower price, then the Vivo T4 Lite 5G would be a better buy.
