Colin Munro accused Multan's all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmad of chucking during the match between the Multan Sultans and the Islamabad United at the Multan Cricket Stadium, putting the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 edition in the news once more.

Colin Munro of Islamabad United and Iftikhar Ahmad of Multan Sultans engaged in a heated altercation during Wednesday's PSL 2025 match after the former complained against the latter for chucking.

Munro dug a ball out of the blockhole in the tenth over of the second innings and then reprimanded the Multan Sultans all-rounder for chucking. This in turn infuriated Iftikhar, and they exchanged abrasive words. In order to calm down both players and explain the situation to all of the players, the umpires had to step in.

In an anticlimactic moment, Iftikhar caught Munro out for 45 off 28 shortly after the altercation.

Islamabad United defeated the Multan Sultans by a margin of seven wickets, easily winning this match. In 20 overs, United initially held the Multan Sultans to 168/5.

For the visitors, the chase was relatively easy. USA opening batsman Andries Gous got 80 runs off 45 balls and remained undefeated, for Islamabad United. With over two overs remaining, Islamabad United triumphed by seven wickets thanks in large part to Colin Munro's noteworthy contribution of 45 runs off 28 balls.

Earlier, the Multan Sultans scored 168 runs thanks to Usman Khan's 61 runs, Mohammed Rizwan's 36 off 37 balls, and Yasir Khan's 29 runs off 17 balls. Riley Meredith, Jason Holder, Mohammad Nawaz, and Shadab Khan each took one wicket for the Islamabad United.

“We were 15-20 short, the ball was gripping a touch, and in the second innings, it was completely different. We felt 180-plus was a safe score. The way they executed the death was good because of the experience and we haven’t executed our plans well," Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan said at the post-match presentation.
