SRH vs CSK IPL 2024 Probable 11: Fizz out of CSK’s attack

SRH vs CSK IPL 2024 key players including Pat Cummins and MS Dhoni with Ruturaj Gaikwad

SRH will face CSK in the 18th game of IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. While CSK have made a strong start to the tournament, they have a selection worry in the game.

CSK will likely miss the services of mercurial bowler Mustafizzur Rehman. According to reports, Mustafizzur has gone back to his home country Bangladesh to sort out US and Caribbean visas for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to begin just a week after the IPL finishes. This could be a serious blow to CSK as the wiry Bangladeshi, also known as Fizz, provided great starts to his team with vital breakthroughs. He is among the leading wicket-takers in the IPL season so far having taken 7 wickets in 3 matches at an average of 15.14. His economy is slightly high at 8.83, but CSK won’t mind as he has taken regular wickets.  CSK has the option of playing either Mukesh Chaudhury or India international Shardul Thakur. The absence of Rehman opens another position for international players in the eleven and CSK may bring back spinner Maheesh Theekshana. CSK also has the option of considering Moeen Ali who is yet to play a game.

CSK fans will also look forward to see MS Dhoni bat a bit higher in the order as he displayed impeccable hitting in the last game against Delhi Capitals.

SRH batting looks settled, but they too face problems in bowling. Their pace attack has conceded excess runs. Even though skipper Pat Cummins is consistent, he needs support at the other end. The likes of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Jaydev Undakat have been costly.  SRH may consider bringing back T Natrajan in place of Jaydev Unadkat who conceded 33 runs in 3.1 overs without taking any wicket in the last game against Gujarat Titans. Depending on match situation, SRH may consider Washington Sundar as their impact player.
