After his move from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to Rajasthan Royals (RR) was finalized, Ravindra Jadeja spoke out publicly for the first time. On Saturday morning, the IPL governing council made the swap known to the public. Jadeja was sent to the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 14 crore, while Sanju Samson was moved to CSK for Rs 18 crore.
CSK also gave Sam Curran to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 2.40 crore. Going down memory lane with the franchise where he made his IPL debut, Jadeja loaded up with warm heartfelt emotion.

Jadeja was one of the first players to represent the Royals in the first two seasons of the IPL, and he was called ‘rockstar’ by the late Shane Warne, the great Australian spinner, and RR’s inaugural captain.
"Rajasthan Royals gave me my first platform and my first taste of victory,” Jadeja said in an official release.
“Coming back feels special; it’s not just a team for me, it’s home. Rajasthan Royals is where I won my first IPL, and I hope to win more with this current group of players,” he added.
After 2011, Jadeja, with the exception of the years 2016 and 2017 when the team was banned, has been a vital part of the CSK lineup. The 36-year-old all-rounder went on to play a huge part in CSK's winning of the 2023 title when he hammered 10 runs off the last two balls against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
