Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched a 25-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Despite Dinesh Karthik's impressive 81, Pat Cummins halted RCB's ambitious 288-run chase in Bengaluru. While Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis initiated a promising start for RCB, Cummins and his teammates swiftly claimed wickets, derailing the chase.

A staggering 549 runs were scored in this T20 match, with a thrilling finish that saw the Orange Cap brigade clinch victory.

Sunrisers Shine

Bowlers struggled against Sunrisers Hyderabad's relentless aggression, resulting in shattered records. The team, donning orange and black, effortlessly surpassed previous achievements, smashing 22 sixes and 19 boundaries, securing the second-highest team total in T20 history. Hyderabad's dominance exacerbated Bengaluru's bowling difficulties.

Sunrisers Hyderabad set a monumental IPL record, posting 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Travis Head notched the fourth-fastest century in IPL history in just 39 balls, partnering with Abhishek Sharma to lay a strong foundation. Head's innings ended at 102 off 41 balls, adorned with eight sixes and nine boundaries. Heinrich Klaasen continued the onslaught with a brisk 67 off 31 balls, featuring seven sixes. This total surpassed the previous IPL record set by SRH against Mumbai Indians on March 27. The batters capitalised on a placid Chinnaswamy pitch, cementing their dominance with an extraordinary display of batting prowess.

Aiden Markram contributed 32 runs not out from 17 balls, while Abdul Samad added 37 runs not out from 10 balls, concluding SRH's innings effectively.

Bengaluru's woes continue

Bengaluru's woes continue as they suffer their sixth loss in seven games, remaining at the bottom of the table. Despite a valiant effort from the batters, chasing 288 in 120 deliveries proved daunting. Both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis started strongly, but after Kohli's departure, Faf's 62-run rampage was in vain as subsequent batters failed to deliver. Dinesh Karthik's heroic 83 off 35 balls kept hope alive briefly, but ultimately, Bengaluru fell short.

Faf du Plessis chose to chase after winning the toss, but Sunrisers Hyderabad's strong start led to a nightmare for Bengaluru. Travis Head's aggressive century in just 39 balls highlighted Hyderabad's dominance, leaving Bengaluru struggling in their pursuit.
