RCB vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2025: Already eliminated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered a consolation victory by defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 42 runs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday. After his hundred in SRH’s first game against Rajasthan Royals, Ishan Kishan struck his first half-century this season, but it came when his team has already been eliminated from the competition. Kishan reached his fifty off 28 deliveries and remained unbeaten on 94 off 48 balls to power SRH to 231/6 as the left-hand batter played a major role in scoring 43 runs off the last 3 overs.
Virat Kohli’s form in run chases continues:

Chasing a mammoth 232, RCB needed the chase master Virat Kohli to come good. And the former captain didn’t disappoint by slamming 43 off 25 balls before he was dismissed by Harsh Dubey. Kohli hit 7 fours and a six in his knock and missed his fifth fifty in run chases for RCB in IPL 2025 by just 7 runs.
Philip Salt’s remarkable return:
Philip Salt, playing for RCB after nearly a month, marked his return to the team with a fifty to lead the run chase. Salt reached his fifty off 27 balls and smashed 5 sixes and 4 fours in his 32-ball 62 before he was dismissed by SRH captain Pat Cummins.
Malinga turns the match on its head:
RCB were in the hunt at 167/3 in 15 overs with Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma at the crease when Eshan Malinga was brought back in the attack. The Sri Lankan turned the match on its head with a superb run out of Patidar after bowling a perfect yorker around off that the batter could do nothing much but squeeze it next to the pitch. Malinga collected the ball on his follow-through and fired a direct hit at the bowler's end.

One ball later, Malinga took a fine return catch on his follow-through to dismiss the dangerous Romario Shepherd for a first ball duck to swing the momentum SRH's way.
Malinga then dismissed Tim David in his next over to finish his spell at 4-0-37-2.
Pat Cummins again leads from the front:
With the bat Pat Cummins scored 13 runs off 6 balls and with the ball the SRH captain took 3 wickets to lead his team to victory. Cummins first dismissed RCB’s dangerous opener Phil Salt who was going hammer and tongs and threatening to run away with the match. Cummins returned in the attack to get rid of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya in the same over to bowl his team to a consolation win with a spell of 4-0-28-3.
