Lucknow Super Giants will host Delhi Capitals in today’s IPL match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The night match is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST.

The LSG will be high in confidence after winning their last three matches in the tournament. Their last win against the Gujarat Titans was accredited to the spinners who successfully defended 163-run target. The bowling trio of Ravi Bishnoi, Krunal Pandya and M Siddharth played a crucial role in the match and claimed 4 wickets between them.

As Delhi Capitals get into the den of Lucknow Super Giants, a similar surface is expected in this match which will test Capitals on a spinning track.

Batting woes for Capitals

Delhi Capitals are struggling with their batting unit to get their act together. A collective average of 23.35 is lowest among the ten participating teams of IPL 2024. Their brave effort against the Mumbai Indians in the last match was a respite for them, but the target was way too much for them to emerge victorious. Prithvi Shaw showed some resilience but Warner disappointed the Capitals yet again.

As far as their bowling is concerned, Capitals will miss Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Marsh who are out due to injuries.

LSG will be a confident unit

After their straight three wins in the tournament, LSG will enter into the match as a confident unit.  Nicholas Pooran is in superb form and can turn around any match on his own. Other batsmen including KL Rahul and others are also in good touch and may score big.

Mayank Yadav and Mohsin’s injury will be a concern for the LSG and they need to put up a performance like the last match in their absence.
