It is still early days in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 but the competition between the teams have been extremely intense. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have so far made the best impact and won both their matches. The positive outcomes have allowed RCB to climb on top of the ten-team points table as they are the only undefeated side in the tournament so far. Their net run-rate, which becomes a crucial factor as the tournament progresses, stands at 2.266 as a result of their thumping victories over the opponents.
RCB is followed by Delhi Capitals (DC), who hold a net run rate of 1.320 after their dominant victories. However, Punjab Kings (PBKS) are yet to play their second match.
Mumbai Indians (MI) secured their first TATA IPL 2025 home win with a dominant eight-wicket victory over KKR at Wankhede stadium on Macrh 31. Debutant Ashwani Kumar dazzled with 4/24, while Ryan Rickelton's unbeaten 62 off 41 balls sealed the chase in just 12.5 overs.
This emphatic win lifted MI from 10th to sixth in the standings, significantly improving their Net Run Rate, while KKR dropped to the bottom.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) sit at ninth and tenth in the standings, with RR edging ahead on net run rate after a six-run win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
