IPL 2025: How Uppal Stadium is gearing up for matches

Uppal Stadium, also known as the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, is preparing for the matches that will take place there in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The competition is scheduled to start on March 22. However, the stadium's first game will take place on March 23. On March 23, Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their first game against the Rajasthan Royals.

The stadium was assessed by Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) officials prior to the forthcoming event. Members of the HCA Apex Council met with SRH management at the location on Tuesday and evaluated the stadium's arrangements.

HCA president A Jagan Mohan Rao emphasized throughout the meeting how crucial event management is to improving the spectator experience at Uppal Stadium during IPL games. HCA officials, including councillor Sunil Kumar, treasurer CJ Srinivas, joint secretary Basava Raju, and vice president Daljit Singh, examined the status of infrastructure upgrades during the inspection.

Special attention was paid to improving the corporate boxes and dressing rooms in order to improve the experiences of the players as well. Fans can anticipate a fun and well-run cricket season at Uppal Stadium as Hyderabad prepares to host IPL matches.
