Rohit Sharma joined the Mumbai Indians squad just ahead of the Indian Premiere League 2024. The five-time trophy winning MI gave their former skipper a unique welcome which has made headlines on the social media.

Mumbai Indians ‘Paltan’ took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a video which features welcoming Rohit Sharma when he reached to join the squad for IPL 2024.

The video titled, “Wo aa gaya…Ro aa gaya” was published on their handle where a young boy can be seen stating to his friend, “Wo aa gaya…Jo garden me ghumne nahi deta.”

The reference of ‘garden’ was taken from the instance that took place during the Test series against England where Rohit was seen telling youngsters not to field like they were roaming in the garden.

Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Indians after a lengthy home schedule with back-to-back series.

Hardik Pandya, who took over the captaincy from Rohit has expressed his opinion stating that Rohit will always have his hands on his shoulders.

Mumbai Indians will play their first match against against Gujarat Titans on March 24 at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
