The air at Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj was electrified on Thursday evening as renowned playback singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan captivated thousands with his soulful performance. The event was part of a grand cultural programme, Sanskriti Ka Sangam, organised by the Department of Culture at the Ganga Pandal.
Shankar Mahadevan began the evening with a heartfelt rendition of Chalo Kumbh Chalein, a song that perfectly captured the devotion and grandeur of the sacred gathering. "It is an honour to participate in Maha Kumbh 2025," he said, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their vision in making the festival a grand celebration of India's spiritual and cultural heritage.
The Ganga Pandal will host nightly cultural programmes until February 24, showcasing performances by renowned artists, including Kailash Kher, Kavita Seth, Nitin Mukesh, Suresh Wadkar, Hariharan, and Kavita Krishnamurthy. These events promise to immerse devotees in a celebration of India’s rich traditions through music, dance, and theatrical performances.
